Signs and symptoms
- Aseptic meningitis
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Mononeuritis multiplex
- Lumbosacral polyradiculopathy
- Acute and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy
- Bells’ Palsy
- Guillen-Barré Syndrome
- Headache and photophobia
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Depressed ankle reflexes
- Painful dysesthesia, moderate sensory loss
- Distal weakness and atrophy in varying degrees
- Multiple cranial and truncal nerves are affected
- Lumbosacral polyradiculopathy; rapid progressive weakness and numbness of the perianal areas leading to sphincter paralysis
- Ascending quadriparesis, usually begins in the lower limb and spreads to the upper extremities, bulbar and facial muscle, and in severe cases the respiratory muscles.
