AIDs-associated diarrhoea may be caused by:
- Salmonella
- E.coli
- Shigella
- Clostridium species
- Campylobacter
- V.cholerae
- E. histolytica
- Salmonella, shigella and campylobacter cause more severe diarrhoea with longer duration
Signs and symptoms
- Frequent stools (sometimes with blood) leading to dehydration
- Vomiting
- Fever
- Abdominal pain or cramps
