Comedones, papulopustules and eventually nodular lesions on the face, chest and back. 

Seek underlying cause if any e.g. overuse of oils on skin, stress, anticonvulsant medicines, and use of topical steroids. Avoid topical steroids (e.g. hydrocortisone or betamethasone) 

Use ordinary soap and bath 2 times a day. In cases with many pustules, use: 

	Medicine	Adult Dose	Frequency	Duration
	benzoyl peroxide 5% gel	apply	every night	review
or	clindamycin topical	apply

In severe cases of nodular acne, treat with oral antibiotic: 

Medicine	Adult Dose	Frequency	Duration
doxycycline po	100mg	once a day	2-4 months

Patients should be encourages to persist with treatment. If not improved refer.
