PHARMACOLOGICAL
- Praziquantel 50mg/kg/day divided in two doses for 5 days.
 
When to refer
- When a patient meets indications for spinal surgery listed above.
 - Acute compression with an unidentified cause.
 - Suspected transverse myelitis where immunosuppressants are unavailable.
