PHARMACOLOGICAL

  • Praziquantel 50mg/kg/day divided in two doses for 5 days.

When to refer

  • When a patient meets indications for spinal surgery listed above.
  • Acute compression with an unidentified cause.
  • Suspected transverse myelitis where immunosuppressants are unavailable.
