CLINICAL FEATURES
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS
- Muscle cramps (thighs, calf muscles)
- Leg numbness or weakness
- Coldness in lower leg or foot
- Sores: legs or feet or toes
- Hair loss or slower hair growth in legs/feet
- Weak or no pause in legs/feet
- Erectile dysfunction in men
- Shiny skin in legs
INVESTIGATIONS
- Blood sugar, FBC, lipid profile, HIV
TREATMENT
- Consider adding Aspirin and Statin
- Treat risk factors (diabetes, hyperlipidemia, HIV)
- Patients with critical limb Ischemia should be referred to high level of care to avoid death from septic shock
